The Phantom Targets event asks players to work through a series of Player Project Objectives, with some later challenges demanding considerably more preparation than the early tasks. While ARC Raiders BluePrints can encourage players to explore and loot during these raids, the tougher project requirements often force you to change your normal approach.

For players collecting ARC Raiders BluePrints while completing the event, the best strategy is to combine objectives whenever possible. The hardest tasks are generally connected to fire damage, salvaged Leaper Pulse Units, and flying ARC kills, all of which can consume valuable resources if handled inefficiently.

Why Fire Damage Feels So Slow

The 1,500 fire damage requirement is one of the objectives most likely to turn into a grind. Fire-based damage does not stack particularly quickly, and the most useful tools are limited consumables rather than ordinary ammunition.

Blaze Grenades are a popular choice, while Firefly Burners, Fireball Burners, and Flame Sprays can also contribute. However, the amount of damage produced by each item means players need to use quite a few of them.

A Blaze Grenade can deal slightly more than 190 damage to an appropriate target. Reaching 1,500 therefore may require around 10 to 15 grenades across multiple raids, especially when some throws fail to apply their full potential damage.

Use Bigger ARC Targets

Large, slower enemies make this challenge much easier. Bastions and Bombardiers give you more time to place a Blaze Grenade correctly instead of forcing you to chase a fast-moving target.

There is also no reason to complete the fire objective in isolation. Bring an energy weapon into the same raid and use the fire damage to weaken the target before securing the final kill with your energy weapon.

This lets you progress two different objectives from the same encounter. It is one of the simplest ways to reduce the number of raids needed for the project.

Collect Leaper Components Before Spending Them

The Leaper Pulse Unit objective requires 1,000 damage, but obtaining enough units is part of the challenge. They must be salvaged from Leapers, meaning players need to locate and defeat these fast-moving machines.

Since Pulse Units are limited, missing shots can be particularly costly. A player who immediately starts firing at every Leaper may run out of usable units before making meaningful progress.

Instead, consider collecting a stockpile first. Tight areas such as doorways can help control a Leaper's movement, making it easier to land attacks and survive the encounter.

Knocking the machine down before looting can also make the recovery process safer. Once you have enough units, the actual damage requirement becomes much more manageable.

Save Launcher Ammo For Good Opportunities

The flying ARC objective requires 20 final kills using launcher ammunition. Wasps and Hornets are natural targets, but their movement makes them poor choices for careless shooting.

The most important detail is that the player must get the final kill. An assist does not count, so a teammate finishing the target after you spend launcher ammunition does nothing for your progress.

For this reason, avoid firing whenever a flying ARC is barely visible or moving unpredictably. Wait for a better angle and make sure you have a realistic chance of securing the elimination.

Turn Snitches Into Farming Opportunities

Snitches can make the flying ARC challenge significantly more efficient. If you wait until the last possible moment before destroying one, it can call additional Wasps and a Hornet.

Depending on the encounter, this can create six to eight flying targets from a single situation. That is a major improvement over searching for isolated Wasps during separate raids.

The important part is controlling the encounter. Destroying the Snitch too early removes the opportunity to generate those extra targets, so patience can directly translate into fewer raids.

Make Every Raid Serve Multiple Goals

The best way to approach these objectives is to give every raid several possible purposes. A raid can be used to collect Leaper components, deal fire damage, progress energy weapon requirements, or farm flying ARCs if the right encounter appears.

This approach also helps protect your inventory space for useful materials and ARC Raiders BluePrints. Rather than entering a raid specifically to complete one objective, look for opportunities where several tasks can move forward at the same time.

Ultimately, the toughest Phantom Targets tasks are more about efficiency than raw difficulty. Once you understand where each bottleneck comes from, the project becomes much easier to manage.
